Design Specialist​/Technologist Position

Join Fortis Alberta as a Design Specialist/Technologist, located in either Airdrie Kingsview or Red Deer Petrolia Park, in a full-time role focused on distribution projects. Your skills in technical design and project management will be invaluable.

This role involves confirming project scopes, ensuring data accuracy, and performing necessary field checks. You will also handle risk assessments and contribute to environmental reports, alongside providing exceptional customer service throughout project coordination. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential for addressing design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confirm scope and input estimates on distribution projects

• Ensure accuracy of data in project management tools

• Conduct field checks and assessments

• Identify environmental concerns and prepare reports

• Manage project scheduling and customer communications

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or relevant experience

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license

• Strong knowledge of engineering codes and regulations

• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment
