On Call Casual Caretaker(s) I - Cochrane Area. Rocky View Schools invites applications for on-call, casual Caretaker I positions for the  school year in the Cochrane Area. Caretaker I roles are called to work on an as-needed basis at any of our schools. You must be available a minimum of 8 instructional days per month, be accessible by telephone and internet, and provide your own transportation.

All candidates must be available for an interview.

• Work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environment
• Carry out routine cleaning tasks and general upkeep
• Demonstrate attention to detail in varied and complex cleaning tasks
• Keep assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow
• Show pride in workmanship
• Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS, and other relevant legislation
• Perform building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
• Obtain positive references

• Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
• Certifications from cleaning organization are considered an asset
• Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

• Basic knowledge of proper cleaning procedures
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• The successful candidate(s) must submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of employment
• Proof of qualifications/education as required by the position

Starting hourly rate $21.64
