Vertex is growing, and we're looking for Project Based Class 1 Operators with experience operating Semi‑Vac's to join our Nisku, Alberta team. We're seeking local candidates from the Nisku area. We are currently looking for Project Based Class 1 Operators with Semi‑Vac experience to join our team! We are looking for Operators who are looking for 2 months of project based work starting early April and ending late May 2026.

- Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
- Comply with Company policies and procedures, health and safety procedures, Department of Transportation and hazardous materials/waste requirements and regulations
- Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
- Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
- Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor
- Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures
- Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
- Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)
- Valid Class 1 drivers license with a clean commercial drivers abstract
- Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience
- Minimum of 1 year within the oilfield experience
- 1 - 2 years of experience operating Semi Vac's
- ELD logbook experience
- Possess H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO safety tickets
- Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
- Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
- Integrity and reliability, willing to accept out of town work when applicable/necessary
- Possess CSTS 2020, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry & Monitor safety tickets
