OpportunityRVS is currently seeking a continuing, part‑time (25 hrs/week) Caretaker I position to provide routine cleaning duties at Cooper's Crossing School starting July 1, 2026. Monday to Friday after school hours with the exception of 1–2 day shifts per month (as per School Year Calendar).
Responsibilities- Attention to detail related to varied and complex cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environment
- Demonstrated pride in workmanship
- Keeps assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow
- Performs building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
- Experience working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS and other relevant legislation
- Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
- Certifications from cleaning organization is considered an asset
- Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
- An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered
- Basic knowledge of proper cleaning procedures
- Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
