Automotive Shop Foreman

Davis Chevrolet in Airdrie is looking for a Shop Foreman to lead our team of skilled Technicians and Apprentices! This position will not require the successful candidate to be productive in the shop, but rather focus their time in providing support, training and guidance to our team of Technicians and Apprentices. The successful candidate can expect to earn a wage of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

• Supervise the day-to-day operation of the service shop, including monitoring the completion and quality of work
• Provide support to Technicians and Apprentices to hold them accountable to achieving productivity goals
• Providing guidance and advice on best practices including quoting, diagnostics and repairs
• Training and onboard of new hires to the team
• Ensure safety protocols in the shop are met, including the appropriate use of PPE, tools and equipment
• Communicate with customers when necessary regarding repairs or other issues
• Communicate and work closely with the Service Leadership Team as well as other Department Managers, working effectively to identify opportunities and resolve issues
• Perform other duties as required

• Experience with GM products is REQUIRED

• A high-performing producer who demonstrates a strong working knowledge of our systems and processes with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Committed to working with leadership to ensure goal alignment and achievement
• Journeyman Technician License
