Randstad Canada is hiring for an Mechanical Assembler in the Calgary area for one of our leading clients in the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry.

This position is intended to be an initial contract via Randstad Canada until the employee is able to converted to the client's team as an internal employee.

• Assemble and mount, mechanical and sub-assembly components to build structures etc. by following standard layouts

• Assemble products with basic/standard options as required by following customer drawing packages and schematics

• Assemble mechanical products with a non-standard option by following customer drawing packages and schematics under the direction of a more experienced Mechanical Assembler

• Complete checklists as required

• Deliver sub-assemblies to the production areas

In This Function, You Will

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for mounting of basic Mechanical components with standard layouts/options, performs sub-assembly functions, as required, and developing enhanced mechanical skills under the direction of a more experienced Mechanical Assembler.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate must have Grade 12 or equivalent level of education, effective communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player. Knowledge/experience with basic wiring schematic symbols is an asset.
