Apprentice Pipefitter; Night Shift

Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Apprentice Pipe fitters to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.

• Lays out, assembles, fabricates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems
• Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements
• Selects type and size of pipe required
• Measures, cuts, and threads pipe to required dimensions using hand and power tools
• Tack, welds and threads joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
• Installs supports, valves, piping, and control systems
• Tests system for leaks using testing equipment
• Cleans and maintains pipe units and fittings and flush systems
• Removes and replaces worn components and reactivates systems
• Listen and be receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals, action plans and timelines for project completion.
• Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program.

• Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or
• Be a registered apprentice.
• Motivated and willing to learn.
• As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug‑Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.

Trade Apprentice or better in Steamfitter‑Pipefitter or related field.
