Forklift Driver – Weekend Shift (Chilled Intake)

Department: Chilled Intake
Shift Pattern: Weekend Shift- 4 days
- Friday & Monday 06:30-15:00/ Saturday & Sunday 06:00-18:30
Contract: Permanent

Albert Bartlett is a family-owned business and the UK's leading supplier of potatoes, committed to producing quality products for customers nationwide. We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our Chilled Intake team on a weekend shift.

As a Forklift Driver within our Chilled Intake department, you will play a key role in ensuring raw materials are received, stored and supplied efficiently to support production requirements.

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts in accordance with company procedures.
• Receive, unload and put away incoming deliveries.
• Transfer stock between intake, storage and production areas.
• Load and unload vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Complete daily forklift safety checks and report any defects.
• Ensure stock is rotated and stored correctly.
• Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork or system transactions.
• Support inventory accuracy through stock checks and audits.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene requirements.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organised.

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing or food production environment.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Flexible and reliable approach to work.
• Experience with in food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Previous experience using warehouse management systems.
• Pivot steer or other MHE licences.
