Propak Systems Ltd., an established leader in engineering, fabrication and construction of gas compression, processing and Heavy Oil facilities, is currently seeking B-Pressure Welders / Spool Fitters to join our fabrication shops in Airdrie, AB.
This offer is specific to our night shift team who are provided with excellent premiums for the night shift. Key Responsibilities
Carries out pressurized mild and/or stainless steel welding requirements of jobs, observing specific guidelines and procedures for weldingReads and interprets blueprints or welding process specificationsOperates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and submerged arc welding (SAW)Operates manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipmentRemoves metal and/or prepares materials for welding by gouging and grindingEnsures all welding equipment is clean and functionalAssists with the maintenance and repair of welding equipmentQualifications
Hold a valid Grade B Pressure Welder Certificate of Competency orA Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Welder Certificate or Welder Trade Certificate along with a valid Pressure Welder Certificate where the test is identical to the Alberta initial test and conducted by the jurisdictional inspector, and a valid Performance Qualification issued by the jurisdiction2+ years of directly related work experienceGTAW / FCAW experience requiredSpool fitting experience is an assetSTT/RMD/ Metal core experience is an assetAs a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention AgreementPropak Systems Ltd. thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
