Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Journeyman
Pipefitters to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.
We offer day, evening and weekend shifts with excellent premiums for evening and weekend day shifts. Key Responsibilities:
Lays out, assembles, fabricates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systemsReads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirementsSelects type and size of pipe requiredMeasures, cuts, and threads pipe to required shape using hand and power toolsTack, welds and threads joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping systemInstalls supports, valves, piping, and control systemsTests system for leaks using testing equipmentCleans and maintains pipe units and fittings and flush systemsRemoves and replaces worn components and reactivates systemsCoaches, mentors, assists, and evaluates apprentices through the employee performance management process to ensure completion of the apprenticeship programQualifications:
Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.1-2 years of directly related work experience.As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices.Propak Systems Ltd. thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
