St. Andrew’s Residence is looking for a mid-level Registered Practical Nurse to assist the nursing department on a part-time basis. Working from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, you will be responsible for assessments, documentation, and overall care provision for residents. Flexibility in scheduling and readiness to respond are crucial in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing support to staff during shifts
• Update care plans and assess resident needs
• Ensure completion of transfer and discharge processes
• Respond effectively to emergencies and family inquiries
• Maintain precise charts and reports as required
Requirements:
• Valid certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• At least two years of relevant nursing experience
• CPR certification is advantageous
• Excellent assessment and time management skills
• Proficient in computer systems like Point Click Care
