The Meat Cutter will operate within the Carstairs Food Store and maintain Westview Co-op’s high standards while ensuring a safe and sanitary meat department. This position demands attention to detail in meat cutting procedures, guest service, and team collaboration. You’ll engage with guests and uphold a clean workspace while leading by example in both food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow food safety standards and Westview Co-op’s Health program

• Prepare and merchandise meat by cutting, trimming, and wrapping

• Label meat for cut, grade, and preparation details

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitize tools regularly

• Answer guest inquiries and assist as needed

Requirements:

• Previous retail experience beneficial

• Meat Cutter training required (CRS or external)

• Attention to detail and strong communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Background Check
