Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.

PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future.

We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services.

The core function of the Nursing and Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (NMHAP) Directorate is to support the education, training and continuing professional development of nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, health and social care chaplains and healthcare support workers. The Directorate is also responsible for providing education, training and workforce development across wider professional groups and disciplines, often in partnership with other agencies, to support key policy imperatives.

The NMAHP practice education and preregistration programme, within the NMAHP Directorate supports key work streams including Careers & Recruitment, Performance Enhancement, Health & Wellbeing, Practice-based Learning (capacity, capability, quality, governance), and Workforce Development. The team collaborates with partners from health and social care, Higher Education Institutions, the Scottish Government, and other organisations to meet PSDS targets and strategic policies effectively.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the NMAHP Practice Education and preregistration team supporting key work streams relating to practice-based learning environment for NMAHP learners. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated allied health professional educator to provide visible and sustainable educational leadership, working collaboratively across Public Service Delivery Scotland

Working within the Practice Education and Pre-registration Nursing and Midwifery team as a Senior Educator you will have the opportunity to bring your unique skills and experience to the team.

• A registered allied health professional (AHP), as one of the AHP professions in Scotland, with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
• Expertise related to education is a requirement for this post, therefore experience within an education, teaching or facilitation role
• Commitment to multi-professional approaches to education
• Proven track record in negotiating, influencing, and managing people
• Ability to collaborate effectively and flexibly and to build networks and communities of practice
• Highly effective communicator knowing how to make complex information and language simple for a diverse range of stakeholders

• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, care and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary
• Ability to work on own initiative, to organise and prioritise own workloads, to meet strict deadlines
