Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Inverclydeare looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

The service Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde Housing Support is designed to meet the requirements of people with complex needs arising from their mental health issues and / or substance misuse. The service was set up as part of the redesign of mental health services within Inverclyde, shifting the balance of care into a community based provision. Most of the individuals we support have a moderate to severe mental illness and some have difficulties in relation to alcohol and drug misuse.

Some of the individuals whom we support require assistance with their personal care and social functioning. The aim of the service is to promote a safe and secure lifestyle for service users while maximising their capacity for independence and reintegration into the local community.

The support we provide is tailored to suit the needs of each individual. The service operates 24/7 and gives support to 11 individuals in their own tenancies within a secure building, controlled and operated by support staff. The service also provides outreach supports to a number of individuals within the Inverclyde area.

Our staff enjoy training, support and development, pension and benefits packages. Their personal qualities really do make a difference to the lives of the people we support.

Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde services are operational throughout the full year with shifts including days, nights, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays including Christmas Day, New Years, Easter etc.

No previous working experience is needed;full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.

As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
