Position: Hygiene Team Leader- Night shift- 4 on 4 0ff

We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Hygiene Team Leader to join our night shift team at our facility in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. This role is crucial for maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring our production areas meet the highest cleanliness protocols.

The Hygiene Team Leader will be responsible for supervising a team of hygiene staff during the night shift, ensuring that all cleaning practices are adhered to rigorously and that all areas of the facility are safe and compliant with regulations.

Shift & Hours of work: Night shift, 4 on 4 off - 6PM-6AM

Salary: £15.59/hour plus shift allowance

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the hygiene team, allocating tasks and ensuring that all cleaning standards are met during the night shift.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Train and develop hygiene staff in best practices and ensure they are familiar with safety protocols.
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials and ensure orders are placed timely to maintain sufficient supplies.
  • Work closely with production managers to coordinate cleaning schedules that do not disrupt production activities.
  • Document hygiene processes, audit results, and compliance records to provide accurate reports to management.
  • Promote a culture of safety and hygiene awareness among all staff on the night shift.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of hygiene practices within the operation.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning leadership role, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high performance and morale.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
