Albert Bartlett, a leading name in quality potato produce since 1948, is looking for an experienced Intake Shift Manager to join our team on the dayshift. In this key role, you will oversee all aspects of the intake process, ensuring the efficient and timely receipt of materials while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

As the Intake Shift Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to achieve operational targets, manage daily workloads, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the intake team to ensure timely and accurate receipt of raw materials
  • Ensure all intake procedures comply with food safety standards, company policies, and legislative requirements
  • Oversee quality inspections and address any discrepancies or issues promptly
  • Lead shift meetings, communicate goals, and provide training to team members
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvement plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain smooth workflows and efficient material handling
  • Ensure all documentation and records are accurately maintained for traceability and compliance
Working Hours

Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:30, plus 1 in 3 Saturday's.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a warehouse, intake, or supply chain environment, ideally in the food industry
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, quality control, and health and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Forklift license or similar mechanical handling equipment qualification is desirable
