WhatThe Role Actually Involves
You’ll be setting, programming and operating CNC lathes using FANUC controls, producing precision components across a mix of work from one-off parts to medium-volume batches. This is a practical, hands-on role where you’re trusted to:
- Set and program CNC lathes efficiently and accurately
- Select tooling and cutting parameters appropriate to the job
- Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Inspect and measure finished parts before release
- Communicate clearly between shifts to keep work flowing
There’s a strong focus on doing the job right, improving how things are done, and keeping the machine shop running smoothly.

You’ll Likely Be a Good Fit If You- Are time-served or experienced as a CNC Turner
- Have strong experience with FANUC-controlled lathes
- Can confidently read and work from engineering drawings
- Understand tooling, cutting parameters and efficient setups
- Take pride in quality, accuracy and consistency
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm (early finish)
- Permanent role within a stable, growing manufacturing business
