Location: Airdrie
Hours:

  • Monday & Friday: 06:30–15:00
  • Saturday & Sunday: 06:00–18:30

We are now recruiting a Machine Operator / Machine Setter to join our production team. This role is vital to keeping our lines running smoothly, efficiently, and safely — ensuring the exceptional product quality we’re known for.

What You’ll Be Doing Machine Setup & Adjustment
  • Set up and adjust machinery to ensure optimum running performance and product quality
  • Complete line changeovers safely and efficiently
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
  • Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues quickly, escalating when required
Monitoring & Quality Control
  • Monitor production output and make adjustments to maintain consistency
  • Ensure all products meet company quality standards throughout the shift
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area in line with site standards
Teamwork & Collaboration
  • Work closely with operators, setters, and production supervisors to meet daily targets
  • Support new team members by providing training on machinery and safe working procedures
Documentation
  • Record machine settings, changes, and checks for traceability
  • Ensure accurate completion of production and quality records
What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a strong candidate if you have:

  • Experience as a Machine Setter
    , Machine Operator
    , Production Operative
    , or similar
  • Good mechanical awareness and confidence working with machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliability and willingness to work a 4‑day shift pattern including weekends

Experience in food production is an advantage, but full training will be provided
.

  • Experience in a similar role within food production or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a food production environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail to maintain product quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
