Join our vibrant team at Albert Bartlett as a Technical Compliance Manager for our Chilled division, where you'll play a key role in maintaining our commitment to quality and safety. In this engaging position, you will be responsible for overseeing the Technical Safety and Quality systems for our delicious chilled products. You will have the opportunity to work closely with production and quality assurance teams, sharing your expertise in HACCP and internal audit processes, ensuring everyone is on board with our high standards.

Your role is not just about compliance; it's about fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for coordinating BRC and customer unannounced audits, providing valuable insights and reports to help us enhance our quality systems. With your leadership, we will ensure that our testing programs align with the QMS, TACCP/VACCP, and HACCP initiatives.

When the Technical Manager is away, you'll step up and lead the way to ensure that our mission to deliver the best quality products remains uncompromised!

Requirements Your Toolkit
  • A strong understanding of business communication methods
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem‑solving prowess to address challenges effectively
  • A collaborative mindset to engage with production teams and exceed customer expectations
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in computer systems relevant to the role
  • A solid grasp of Quality Systems theory and practical implementation
  • Intermediate or Advanced HACCP knowledge;
    Lead Assessor qualification is a plus!
  • Strong managerial skills to guide and inspire your team
Your Credentials Essential
  • A high level of education (preferably a degree) in a science‑related discipline
  • Experience in a retail, fresh produce, or high‑care environment
  • A background in quality assurance, quality control, food safety, and microbiological standards
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
Experience Matters
  • Proven managerial experience
  • Hands‑on HACCP experience
  • Audit qualification and a track record of implementing effective food safety and quality management systems (BRC/Customer)
  • Exceptional communication skills that resonate with a diverse audience
