This role sits within our AFG division, based out of Airdrie, Scotland.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Identify and research new sales opportunities to drive new business.
- Build and maintain customer and prospect contact databases.
- Contact prospects, develop relationships, and recommend suitable solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Provide regular updates on new products and services.
- Follow up all quotations promptly and provide feedback.
- Gather customer feedback, market insights, and competitor information.
- Contribute to the sales team by meeting individual and team sales and gross margin targets.
- Promote all products and value-added services.
- Process orders on the system and manage them from start to completion.
- Respond to internal and external emails in a timely manner.
- Visit customers to promote Angus
F. Gunn, BM Steel, and the full product range.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Confident speaking with new contacts by telephone.
- Able to build strong client relationships.
- Committed to promoting excellence.
- Be enthusiastic and energetic
- Be motivated to sell and be driven to meet personal and team targets
- Able to work independently
- Ideally experienced in steel profiling / general steel products.
