As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounts receivable, including reviewing shipping data, issuing invoices, applying customer payments, and following up on past-due balances. You will also be responsible for:
- Handle general accounting tasks such as journal entries, monthly and year-end close, bank and credit card reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation.
- Prepare and file monthly GST and WSIB submissions.
- Track and report plant metrics such as costs, KPIs, labor, production efficiency, and scrap using the ERP system.
- Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure accurate financial reporting aligned with operational performance.
- Support internal and external audits, particularly in cost accounting, inventory, and reconciliations.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights to business leaders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Gain exposure to cost analysis, FP&A, and cross-functional projects with opportunities for career growth into leadership roles.
The ideal candidate is someone with strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. You have exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines, as well as the following:
- CPA designation or active enrollment in the CPA PEP program.
- Minimum 3-10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with an ERP and advanced Excel skills.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
- Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting and connect financial data to operational performance.

Expected Compensation: CAD $80,000.00 - $ + 10% discretionary annual bonus
