Financial Controller at Community Non-Profit

We seek a Financial Controller to lead financial operations and the full accounting cycle. You will engage in Board reporting, audit coordination, budgeting, and strengthen internal controls while actively managing day-to-day transactions. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle and monthly financial statements

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for a $9M budget

• Coordinate the annual external audit from February to May

• Oversee regulatory filings including HST and payroll requirements

• Implement improvements for accounting systems and workflows

Requirements:

• 5+ years in accounting or financial management roles

• CPA designation required

• Experience in non-profit accounting and GAAP principles

• Proficient in Excel with advanced financial analysis skills

• Strong organizational skills and collaborative mindset
