Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Certified Pre-Owned and Loyalty Manager at our Corporate Offices in Ajax, ON.
As Volkswagen develops its brand relevancy in the Canadian Market, we need an experienced manager to support the brand and our network of dealers. Key responsibilities include exploring new sales opportunities and channels, managing certified Pre‑Owned development, and professionalising our sales processes to maximise success. This role is multi‑faceted, focusing on developing sales processes at both the retail and wholesale level, creating new routes to market, and securing maximum sales performance.
The position is a hybrid flex role.
- Achieve Certified Pre‑Owned sales goals and identify tactical marketing and incentive actions at national and regional levels.
- Develop and implement ongoing dealer training programmes based on the CPO process and procedures.
- Update and implement Dealer Operating Standards in collaboration with Network Development.
- Coach and influence dealers to develop a business focus on VW and competitive used‑car buying (off‑lease, off‑rental) and selling.
- Diagnose used‑car performance inhibitors and develop dealer‑specific business cases and action plans.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert on used‑car operations, off‑lease/remarketing activities and online marketing.
- Maximise dealer off‑lease upstream purchases to retain strong resale values and mitigate losses on end‑of‑lease disposals.
- Develop a comprehensive ancillary revenue strategy to improve profitability for dealers and Volkswagen Canada, focusing on accessories, finance products, extended warranty and mobility products.
- Engage with internal and external providers to partner in delivering customer‑centric mobility solutions that enhance the Volkswagen experience.
- Review sales processes and propose a customer/dealer‑centric approach that improves foot traffic, lead sourcing and conversion rates.
- Propose training and development strategies in partnership with Network Development to modernise retailing.
- Develop dealer performance comparison and best‑practice sharing to maximise sales, customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business or a related field (desired).
- 10+ years automotive industry pre‑owned sales and strategy experience, 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Retail, finance, lease, remarketing and wholesale experience.
- Strong budget and forecast management experience.
- Knowledge of residual value / lease rate development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet savvy.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to present effectively to large cross‑functional groups.
- Experience developing and presenting presentations to both corporate customers and dealers.
- French language skills considered a strong asset.
