Position: Painter for Educational Facilities
Support the Durham District School Board as a dedicated Painter, responsible for improving the aesthetic and functional aspects of school properties. This hands-on role is essential for creating safe and supportive learning environments.

The Durham District School Board is seeking a Painter to execute various projects including wall painting, exterior line marking, and installation of school logos. As part of the team, you will consult with administrators about color choices and coordinate project schedules. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining compliance with safety standards and ensuring high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Discuss and finalize painting requirements with school leaders

• Arrange dates for painting around school schedules

• Mix and prepare paint according to specifications

• Complete repairs and prep work before painting

• Track work orders and time on weekly timesheets

Requirements:

• Completion of a Painter and Decorator certificate (404C)

• At least one year of related experience

• Class G driver's license with good standing

• Knowledge of occupational health and safety codes

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
