Position: Long-Term Occasional Teacher Grade 5/6

As an LTO with the Durham District School Board, your role is to develop engaging lessons, assess student progress, and create an inclusive classroom atmosphere. You will collaborate with other educators and the community to enhance educational experiences, adapting methods to meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver curriculum-aligned, engaging lessons

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing necessary feedback

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom for all students

• Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and the community

• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles

Requirements:

• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing

• Qualifications for teaching Grades 5 and 6

• Provide a current Criminal Background Check

• Commitment to inclusivity and diverse environments

• 1.0 FTE availability for the position
