LTO French Immersion Teacher Grade 6

St. James Catholic School is seeking a French Immersion Grade 6 LTO teacher for the 2026 school year. This position requires native-level fluency and certification from the Ontario College of Teachers.

This long-term occasional role runs from September 2, 2026, to December 18, 2026, with a possibility of extension. Candidates must have Junior Basic Qualifications and French as a Second Language, Part 1. Key Responsibilities:

• Teach French Immersion subjects to Grade 6 students

• Create inclusive lesson plans that engage all learners

• Assess student progress and provide feedback

• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment

• Collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents

Requirements:

• Certification from the Ontario College of Teachers

• Junior Basic Qualifications for teaching

• French as a Second Language, Part 1 required

• Native-like fluency in French essential
