Position: Educational Assistant for Diverse Learners
Support student success as an Educational Assistant with the Simcoe County District School Board. This full-time role focuses on academic and behavioral development in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

This temporary full-time Educational Assistant position offers 35 hours a week, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates must possess a relevant degree or diploma in human services and have relevant training such as Behaviour Management Systems (BMS). The position involves working with students across various grade levels and specialized needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate academic progress by assisting students in learning

• Implement behaviour management and safety plans

• Provide toileting, lifting, and mobility assistance

• Rotate through schools based on student needs

• Utilize assistive technologies to enhance learning

Requirements:

• Relevant university degree or two-year college diploma

• Completion of BMS training is essential

• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder

• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills

• Knowledge of behavior management techniques
