- Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years - Experience:
3 years to less than 5 years Tasks - Repair and maintain machinery
- Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications
- Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials
- Computer-aided design (CAD)
- Design tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures
- Estimate costs and materials
- Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications
- Test machines and equipment
- Create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD)
- Create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD) Health benefits
