Mining​/Process Engineering Co-op at SLR

SLR Consulting is seeking a third- or fourth-year student in Mining, Mineral Processing, Chemical, or Geotechnical Engineering. This position offers exposure to cross-disciplinary projects, hands-on experience, and essential mentorship from seasoned engineers. You’ll work closely on mining and process designs, equipping you for future engineering roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support engineers with underground layouts and backfill concepts

• Assist in laboratory testing for tailings and backfill materials

• Help coordinate scopes for bridge mining and processing plant projects

• Participate in site visits and field investigations

• Maintain design markups and spreadsheets as directed

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering program

• Basic understanding of mining operations preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledge of mining-specific software is an asset

• Valid driver's license for site travel
