Disability Absence Consultant

Position: Disability Absence Consultant at Sun Life

In this role, you will report to the Manager of People Operations and provide expert HR support within HR Shared Services. Your responsibilities will include administering disability-related absences, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with policies. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to enhance employee experiences and streamline workflows while maintaining accurate data records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert on Salary Continuance program processes

• Provide empathetic support to employees regarding their absences

• Monitor cases and follow up on return-to-work plans

• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes

• Collaborate with various HR teams to ensure seamless case administration

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of disability and absence management

• Experience in operational case management

• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

• Proficiency in HR systems and data management
