As a Senior Buyer reporting to the Manager of Procurement, you will offer expert guidance on procurement policies and buy commodities while supporting operational departments. With a minimum of six years in public sector procurement, you will collaborate to enhance business outcomes and mentor staff in best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the timely creation and reporting of bid opportunities

• Recommend best procurement strategies to internal clients

• Provide professional procurement advice ensuring policy compliance

• Mentor procurement staff on best practices and guidelines

• Lead complex bids and inter-departmental special projects

Requirements:

• University degree or related college diploma in Procurement

• Minimum six years public sector procurement experience

• Certification as a Professional Public Buyer

• Strong knowledge of legislation and contract law

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
