Facility Pool Operator Recreation

Elevate public swimming experiences as a Facility Pool Operator with the Town of Ajax. Oversee pool operations while maintaining cleanliness and order across the facility.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, you’ll ensure optimal pool conditions, supervise cleaning staff, and uphold safety protocols for patrons.

Your role includes water chemistry management, troubleshooting issues, and providing courteous service to the public. This position balances facility maintenance with active visitor engagement to promote a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain water quality and perform necessary adjustments

• Conduct regular custodial cleaning and maintenance tasks

• Supervise part-time staff to ensure efficient operations

• Ensure facility security through logs and protocols

• Complete cleaning and event set-ups as required

Requirements:

• Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1 year of experience in pool management

• Certification as NSPF Pool Operator or similar

• Valid Class 'G' driver's licence

• First Aid/CPR certification or requirements to acquire
