Make a significant difference in the lives of residents as a Registered Practical Nurse us on delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care tailored to each resident’s needs.
This role invites you to provide professional nursing care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and a dedicated health care team. You will guide Personal Support Workers, ensure adherence to policies, and engage with physicians regarding resident health. Your efforts will foster a nurturing environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer nursing care in line with established medical standards
• Direct and oversee Personal Support Workers daily
• Report urgent resident changes to physicians promptly
• Work with the health care team to meet residents’ needs
• Contribute to team updates during shift reports
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Extensive knowledge of long-term care practices
• Familiarity with relevant healthcare legislation and standards
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to supporting resident well-being
