Empower seniors at Age Care as a Registered Practical Nurse, ensuring their health and comfort through compassionate care. Work closely with a dedicated healthcare team in long-term care settings.
This role requires delivering personalized nursing services while guiding Personal Support Workers. You’ll liaise with physicians and contribute to the care plan, adapting procedures for optimal resident well-being. Supporting residents means actively participating in team communications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide essential nursing care according to best practices
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Direct Personal Support Workers in resident care
• Participate in shift communication and updates
• Report significant changes to physicians promptly
Requirements:
• Background in long-term care and rehabilitation nursing
• Familiarity with relevant healthcare legislation
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Active membership with the nursing body
• Passion for elderly care and respect for residents
