Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse at Extendicare

Join Extendicare as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) delivering patient-focused nursing care aligned with provincial standards. Engage with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care experiences.

As a Registered Practical Nurse reporting to the Director of Care, you will implement and evaluate care/service plans while ensuring accurate documentation. Collaborating effectively with the care team, you will facilitate resident care conferences, manage resident moves, and respond to urgent medical situations. Your hands-on care and medication management will be vital in maintaining compliance with Extendicare care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver planned, patient-oriented nursing care

• Ensure accuracy in clinical assessments and documentation

• Coordinate resident care assignments within the nursing team

• Administer medication and treatments in compliance with policies

• Assist with resident/family education and care conferences

Requirements:

• Current registration as an RPN in the province

• Experience in a senior's environment preferred

• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support required

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Current Vulnerable Position Sector Screening (within 6 months)
