In this role, the Registered Practical Nurse will deliver essential nursing care, guiding Personal Support Workers, and ensuring the residents' individual needs are met. You will liaise with healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of care and document changes in residents’ health. Contribute to procedure improvements while working collaboratively with your teammates on the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional nursing care to residents daily
• Lead and mentor Personal Support Workers
• Cooperate with physicians and healthcare teams
• Communicate effectively during shift reports
• Observe and record residents' status changes promptly
Requirements:
• Extensive experience in geriatric or long-term care nursing
• Knowledge of applicable health regulations and acts
• Active membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Passion for serving the senior community
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
