This role is responsible for conducting inspections, verifying documentation, and supporting field and project teams in meeting quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • The QC Coordinator works closely with the QA Manager, Project Managers, and field supervision to ensure that all fabrication and construction activities meet applicable specifications, codes, and jurisdictional requirements. • Monitor fabrication, installation, testing, and completion activities to confirm compliance with customer, code, and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete inspection reports and records accurately and within timelines established by the QA Manager.
  • Support the QA Manager in managing hold and witness points, ensuring all required documentation and sign-offs are complete.
  • Review subcontractor ITPs and quality documentation to verify alignment with project and client expectations.
  • Maintain control of calibrated inspection equipment and related records.
  • Identify and communicate quality-related issues or nonconformances to the QA Manager; assist in developing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support internal and external audits, project closeouts, and lessons-learned initiatives.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide quality input and ensure inspection readiness.
  • Promote our client’s quality objectives through coaching, teamwork, and proactive communication with project and site personnel.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of our client’s QMS by suggesting enhancements and sharing best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Quality, Engineering (Civil and Mechanical), Construction, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years of quality control or inspection experience in a construction or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and CSA N299 quality management principles.
  • Familiarity with applicable construction codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., ASME, CSA, CWB, TSSA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic quality management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks, think critically, and support practical solutions.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various work sites as required.
  • Ability to wear CSA-approved PPE and perform field inspections, including climbing ladders and accessing confined or elevated areas.

  • CWB, TSSA, or equivalent inspection certifications considered an asset.
  • Regulatory & System Awareness: Must maintain awareness of ISO 9001, CSA N299, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Field-Level Engagement: Builds trust with field teams through regular site presence, technical guidance, and collaboration.
  • Documentation & Systems: Responsible for maintaining clear, accurate, and traceable quality records.
  • Continuous Improvement: Supports audits, nonconformance reviews, and improvement initiatives.
