Accountant
Company: Mafraq Kitchen and Restaurant
Location: Industrial Area 1, Ajman, UAE
Job DescriptionMafraq Kitchen and Restaurant is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented accountant to join our team in Ajman. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage the company's financial records accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting books.
- Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare invoices and follow up on customer payments.
- Process supplier payments and maintain vendor records.
- Assist in payroll preparation and salary processing.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare financial forecasts.
- Prepare VAT calculations and ensure timely VAT filing in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Maintain inventory and cost records in coordination with the operations team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience (restaurant or hospitality experience is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, Quick Books, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Candidates currently residing in the UAE and available to join immediately or on short notice will be preferred.
