Accountant, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections, Financial Reporting

A leading petroleum transportation company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join its Finance team in Ajman.

This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals with experience in managing financial operations, reconciliations, and VAT compliance within a fast-paced business environment.

The successful candidate will support daily accounting functions, oversee accounts payable and receivable, maintain transportation-related financial records, and assist with financial reporting.

Immediate joiners with experience in the transportation, logistics, or petroleum sector will have a distinct advantage.

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
• Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Perform bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations.
• Maintain records of fleet, vehicle, fuel, and transportation-related expenses.
• Monitor trip-wise and customer-wise revenue and expenses.
• Support monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Assist with UAE VAT compliance, VAT returns, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with operations and administration teams to collect financial data and supporting documents.
• Support the Finance Manager with budgeting, reporting, and other finance-related tasks.

• 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, petroleum, or fleet-related businesses is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of UAE accounting standards and VAT practices.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
  Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Financial Reporting, UAE VAT Compliance, Reconciliations & Bookkeeping, Microsoft Excel, Accounting Software & Transportation Cost Management Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Related Field (Estimated)
