Tower Crane Assembly/Dismantling Supervisor

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the full cycle of tower crane assembly, telescoping, jacking and dismantling operations ensuring all works follow manufacturer manuals, engineering lift plans and approved method statements.
- Coordinate with site management, crane suppliers and safety departments before and during activities.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, lifting procedures and regulatory requirements, conduct pre‑task briefings, toolbox talks and ensure all team members understand job hazards.
- Carry out inspections of PPE, rigging gear, lifting tools and equipment prior to use.
- Verify all tower crane components, tie‑ins, foundations and accessories meet the required standards.
- Monitor crane performance during jacking/telescoping and report abnormalities immediately.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, assembly records and equipment logs.
- Supervise riggers, crane erectors and technicians ensuring tasks are executed efficiently.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, lifting accessories and logistics required for each operation.
- Train and mentor team members on proper lifting and handling techniques.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and HSE to align operational schedules.
- Prepare daily progress reports, incident reports if any, and completion certificates.
- Communicate issues, delays or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Minimum 10 - 15 years of proven experience in tower crane assembly, telescoping, and dismantling.
- Strong technical knowledge of various tower crane models, components, jacking systems and safety systems.
- Familiarity with lifting plans, engineered method statements, risk assessments and mechanical handling procedures.
- Certification in rigging, lifting supervision, working at height and tower cranes (e.g., Liebherr) or related mechanical disciplines (preferred).
- Previous Middle East and construction industry experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manufacturer manuals and structural tie‑in details.
- Strong leadership, communication skills and ability to supervise multi‑national teams.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with industry standards.
