Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise cost estimation for joinery projects.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to clarify project requirements and resolve discrepancies in plans.
- Evaluate and select suitable materials based on quality, durability, and cost-effectiveness to optimize project budgets.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, and overheads, to support competitive bidding.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in joinery estimation or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in joinery materials and construction methods, with a strong understanding of woodworking techniques.
- Experience using estimation software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or specialized joinery estimating tools is essential.
