DescriptionAs a Faculty member in Human Resource Management within the Department of Business & Management at LSBU UAE, you will contribute to teaching, research, student supervision, and academic leadership across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will deliver modules in Human Resource Management, Strategic Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, and related management disciplines while supporting the University's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and impactful research.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student‑centred learning, scholarly activity, and curriculum innovation. Preference may be given to candidates with experience teaching within UK higher education environments.
- Deliver Human Resource Management and related business modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Design and deliver engaging learning experiences that promote student participation, critical thinking, and professional development.
- Develop and update module materials, assessments, and learning resources in line with programme requirements.
- Utilise innovative teaching approaches and educational technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Ensure module delivery aligns with LSBU academic standards and quality frameworks.
- Supervise undergraduate dissertations, postgraduate research projects, and capstone projects.
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to students throughout their studies.
- Monitor student engagement, progression, and achievement.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving student retention, satisfaction, and success.
- Conduct high‑quality research within Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, or related disciplines.
- Publish in reputable peer‑reviewed journals, including Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and ABS‑ranked journals.
- Participate in conferences, research collaborations, and scholarly activities.
- Contribute to the department's research culture and knowledge exchange initiatives.
- Seek opportunities for research funding, consultancy, and industry collaboration where appropriate.
- Contribute to curriculum design, programme enhancement, and module review activities.
- Participate in quality assurance, accreditation, and academic review processes.
- Ensure compliance with LSBU academic regulations and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across programmes and modules.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic governance activities.
- Support student recruitment, outreach, and engagement initiatives.
- Develop relationships with employers, industry partners, and professional bodies.
- Contribute to events, workshops, seminars, and other academic activities that enhance the student experience.
- A PhD in Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, or a closely related discipline.
- A Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years' university‑level teaching experience.
- Experience delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules within Human Resource Management and related business disciplines.
- An active research profile with publications in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), ABS‑ranked journals, or equivalent high‑quality scholarly outputs.
- Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate student projects.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or equivalent platforms.
- Evidence of curriculum development, assessment design, and quality assurance activities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student‑centred learning.
- Experience with in UK higher education or international higher education environments would be advantageous.
