Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Emirati Senior Library Manager to lead and advance the University Library, driving innovation, academic support, research excellence, and high-quality library services.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Library’s strategic planning, operations, and long-term development.
- Oversee library services, digital resources, ILS, repositories, discovery platforms, and OPAC systems.
- Manage Elsevier PURE (RIMS), including research profiles, publications, analytics, and reporting.
- Support faculty and researchers in scholarly publishing, research visibility, citation management, and academic resources.
- Lead information literacy programs, workshops, and user engagement initiatives.
- Manage budgets, subscriptions, vendor partnerships, resource allocation, and library infrastructure.
- Lead, develop, and mentor library teams while driving a collaborative and service-oriented culture.
- Support accreditation, quality assurance, compliance, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, publishers, and professional organizations.
- Master’s degree in Library & Information Science, Library Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in academic libraries, including 5+ years in a leadership/managerial capacity
. - Strong experience in higher education, library technologies, digital resources, research support, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Experience with Research Information Management Systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
