We are looking for an inspiring educator with a strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for helping students develop their reading, writing, speaking and critical thinking skills. The successful candidate will create engaging lessons that motivate students, build confidence and foster a love of English and literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons in line with the British National Curriculum.
- Teach English language, reading, writing, grammar, spelling and, where appropriate, literature.
- Develop students' communication, comprehension, analytical and creative writing skills.
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs and abilities of all learners.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment that encourages participation and independent learning.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and challenge students.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support student achievement.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management and professional conduct.
Position Requirements
Bachelor,
1+ Years
work experience Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification, preferably a B.Ed. or PGCE in English or a related subject.
- A degree in English or a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
- Experience teaching English within a British curriculum school is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the British National Curriculum and effective assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to high academic standards, student progress and continuous professional development.
- A positive, flexible and collaborative approach to working within an expanding school.
