Deputy Network Manager; UAE Nationals
This is a senior technical leadership role that provides critical support to the Head of Technical Networks across wastewater networks and pumping stations. The role plays a key part in strengthening technical capability, operational resilience, and continuity within the network function.
By providing depth of expertise and leadership coverage, the position reduces single‑point dependency and supports effective succession planning. It ensures the organisation is well positioned to manage a growing and increasingly complex portfolio, maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient network performance as scale and operational demands continue to increase.
What You’ll DriveSupport leadership, planning, and delivery of wastewater network and pumping station infrastructure.
Lead major capital and infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle:
- Planning and concept development
- Design and technical review
- Tendering and contractor procurement
- Construction, testing, commissioning, and handover
Provide senior technical oversight across:
- Gravity sewers
- Rising mains
- Pumping stations
- Urban infrastructure interfaces (roads, utilities, third‑party assets)
Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Integrate operational, maintenance, and long‑term asset performance considerations into project delivery.
Manage and coordinate contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
Act as senior technical interface with:
- Municipalities and regulators
- Government agencies
- Contractors and suppliers
- Operations & Maintenance partners
Contribute to governance, quality assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support operational integration and asset handover processes.
Leadership & People Management- Provide senior technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams (engineers, planners, designers, safety, site staff).
- Support team development, capability building, and mentoring.
- Progressively assume broader leadership responsibility across the portfolio.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong wastewater network and pumping station experience
- Proven delivery of complex infrastructure projects in regulated utility or infrastructure environments
- Strong technical, project management, and problem‑solving capability
- Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in high‑pressure environments
- Proactive, solutions‑focused, and capable of supporting long‑term organisational capability growth
