Key Responsibilities

• Teach Medical Microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology, to undergraduate medical students within an integrated competency‑based curriculum.
• Design and facilitate practical and laboratory sessions, including culture techniques, antimicrobial sensitivity testing, molecular diagnostics, and infection control practices, ensuring relevance to clinical applications.
• Lead problem‑based learning case discussions and infection‑related clinical correlations to strengthen students' understanding of the role of microbiology in patient care.
• Supervise and mentor students in research projects, scholarly presentations, and publications in microbiology and related disciplines.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research in medical microbiology, infectious diseases, or antimicrobial resistance, with dissemination in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Actively contribute to curriculum design, accreditation processes, and quality assurance initiatives, as well as participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.

• MBBS degree with a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Medical Microbiology.
• Strong record of research publications in indexed journals.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of post‑Ph.D. teaching experience.
