Responsibilities
- Plan, design, implement, and maintain physical and virtual IT systems including servers, network infrastructure, and software applications.
- Administer Active Directory, Office 365, and VMware ESXi.
- Configure and maintain firewalls such as Sonic Wall and pf Sense, L2/L3 D-Link switches, and enterprise wireless networks.
- Manage NAS for shared storage and disaster recovery (DR) and perform server backups using Veeam with replication across data centres and branches.
- Administer centralized antivirus and anti‑malware protection (Avast) and maintain a tested disaster recovery plan.
- Provide administration and technical support for enterprise applications such as LMS, ERP, HRMS, CMS, and Zoho.
- Manage biometric time attendance systems, face recognition, RFID, and smart signage device infrastructure, Smart TVs; support AV setups, smart boards, and multimedia systems across classrooms, halls, and common areas.
- Coordinate technical support with external software vendors including Koha, OPEC, and Focus.
- Administer Avaya IP PBX telephone systems and manage corporate communication lines via Etisalat portal.
- Configure and maintain VPN access for remote users and ensure secure interconnectivity across all sites.
- Configure and oversee CCTV surveillance systems and biometric access controls.
- Monitor system performance and ensure security compliance across all IT assets.
- Contribute to IT strategy development, annual budget planning, and policy formulation.
- Assess, recommend, and coordinate procurement of new IT equipment and software with vendors.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a multi‑site environment.
- Hands‑on expertise with VMware ESXi, Microsoft 2016 & 2019 Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Proficiency in network administration: firewalls (Sonic Wall/pf Sense), L2/L3 switching, and wireless systems.
- Experience with Veeam backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with enterprise applications (ERP, LMS, HRMS) and AV/multimedia systems.
- Knowledge of Avaya IP PBX, VPN configuration, and CCTV/access control systems.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA, VCP) are an advantage.
