AI Automation & DevOps Engineer

NYS Universe is seeking an AI Automation & Dev Ops Engineer to design, build, and operate reliable AI-powered automation systems and cloud infrastructure. This onsite, full-time role in Ajman combines backend engineering, workflow automation, platform operations, and production reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain AI-powered applications and automation workflows.
- Integrate language models, APIs, databases, webhooks, and third-party services.
- Develop background workers, queues, scheduled jobs, retries, and monitoring.
- Manage cloud infrastructure, Linux servers, Docker containers, and networking.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Configure observability, logging, alerts, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Manage environments, secrets, access controls, domains, and certificates.
- Monitor system performance, availability, security, and operating costs.
- Investigate production incidents and implement long-term fixes.
- Document architecture, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Reliable and observable production systems.
- Safe, repeatable deployments.
- Fast incident detection and recovery.
- Secure handling of infrastructure and user data.
- Predictable infrastructure and AI operating costs.
- Maintainable and scalable automation workflows.
- 2–5 years of experience in backend, Dev Ops, or automation engineering.
- Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into production systems.
- Solid knowledge of Docker, Linux, Git, and CI/CD.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong PostgreSQL or equivalent database experience.
- Familiarity with queues, workers, event-driven systems, and APIs.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Sentry, Grafana, Datadog, or Cloud Watch.
- Understanding of security, secrets management, backups, and access control.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident-response skills.
- Kubernetes or container orchestration experience.
- Infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, Cloud Formation, or CDK.
- Experience with serverless functions and managed databases.
- Experience optimizing AI/API costs and latency.
- Familiarity with mobile and web deployment pipelines.
