Import Shipment Coordinator

We at Al Sharqi Shipping Co LLC are looking for Import Shipment Coordinator who is responsible for ensuring that all shipments are properly documented and meet all custom requirements.

Position is Ajman based.

• Record new shipments from customer pre-alerts
• Verify documents against the Bill of Lading BL
• Inform customers of permit requirements
• Manage importation of food items including Dubai Municipality registration
• Ensure customers have necessary Customs clearance documents
• Update customers on shipment status
• Coordinate payment with walk-in customers before processing shipments
• Calculate shipment costs and duties
• Collect original documents for Customs submission
• Prepare authorization letters for Delivery Orders DO
• Arrange transportation and labor for offloading containers
• Invoice shipment charges and follow up on payment
• Verify payment receipt and close the file

• Bachelor/Master degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Logistics and Freight Forwarding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in MS Office and email drafting.
• Strong team player with good time management skills.
