Sea Operation Associate

You at Al Sharqi Al Sharqi Shipping Co LLC are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sea Operations Associate to oversee and manage the efficient and effective execution of all sea-related logistics and operations for our company. This role involves coordinating various aspects of sea freight ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and maintaining strong relationships with partners and stakeholders in the maritime industry.

• Sea Freight Operations Management – Plan, coordinate and oversee sea freight shipments, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations.
• Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders and customs agents for cargo bookings and schedules.
• Monitor vessel schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Documentation and Compliance – Prepare and review shipping documentation for compliance, maintain accurate documentation to prevent delays.
• Supplier and Vendor Management – Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and vendors, collaborate with procurement for vendor selection.
• Cargo Tracking and Monitoring – Implement tracking systems for cargo monitoring.
• Budgeting and Cost Management – Develop and manage sea freight operation budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize routes.
• Risk Management – Identify and mitigate potential risks in operations, stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
• Team Leadership and Development – Lead and manage sea operations team, foster a collaborative work environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (Master's preferred).
• 1-2 years of logistics experience.
• Understanding of international shipping regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with cargo tracking software.
